Sunday marked the end of Prague Pride 2024 – seven days of celebrating LGBTQ+ equality, with a particular focus on the theme of family and love this year. As in previous years, the highlight of Prague Pride was the annual parade, which saw around 60,000 people – many of whom were draped in rainbow colors – walk through the center of the Czech capital.

This year’s instalment of Prague Pride offered educational insights into the LGBTQ+ community, including workshops on how schools should approach transgenderism, talks about progressive views of LGBTQ+ people in Czech society, and walking tours led by LGBTQ+ people once marginalized in society.

On top of all this, Prague Pride also offered activities aplenty at Pride Village (based on Kampa Island), including live music, speed dating, and costume shows.

“It’s always breathtaking, this rainbow of colors and people all just celebrating love and diversity. That’s what it's all about,” international communications officer Reb Xiberras told Expats.cz recently.
