Prague Pride, August 12-18 Now in its third year, Prague Pride has quickly grown into one of the biggest LGBT festivals in Central Europe. The parade and closing concert happen on August 17, but the whole week will see entertainment, concerts, exhibitions, theater, debates, and more. An information center for details on all the happenings will be set up next to the National Theatre for the festival’s run.
Letní Letná, August 18-September 1 Every August, Letní Letná takes over a corner of Letná park, creating an exciting village of circus tents filled with performances. The newest in contemporary circus and theater is showcased daily, with many French troupes participating, plus lots of daytime activities for kids.
Mácháč, August 23-24 Beachside open-air festival at one of the Czech Republic’s largest lakes, Máchovo jezero in the town of Doksy. Foreign artists play the first day, with Czech DJs taking over for the second.
