Roger Waters: The Wall, Synot Tip Arena, August 7

A legendary singer and must-see for any Pink Floyd fan, this European tour features Waters’ extraordinary aural and visual masterpiece—The Wall.

Regina Spektor, Prague Castle, August 13
Should be an excellent performance by the American alternative folk-pop singer–songwriter at Prague Castle’s Riding School. 

Hip Hop Kemp, Hradec Králové, August 22-24
Premier Czech hip hop event, this international festival is a huge gathering of hip hop fans from across Europe. Line-up this year includes Kendrick Lamar, De La Soul and RA The Rugged Man.

Rent The Musical, Divadlo Na Prádle, August 8-17

Open Mic Night, August 2
Muddum Art Space hosts this free event welcoming anyone with some acoustic talent to share. 

Prague Pride, August 12-18
Now in its third year, Prague Pride has quickly grown into one of the biggest LGBT festivals in Central Europe. The parade and closing concert happen on August 17, but the whole week will see entertainment, concerts, exhibitions, theater, debates, and more. An information center for details on all the happenings will be set up next to the National Theatre for the festival’s run.

Letní Letná, August 18-September 1
Every August, Letní Letná takes over a corner of Letná park, creating an exciting village of circus tents filled with performances. The newest in contemporary circus and theater is showcased daily, with many French troupes participating, plus lots of daytime activities for kids.

Mácháč, August 23-24
Beachside open-air festival at one of the Czech Republic’s largest lakes, Máchovo jezero in the town of Doksy. Foreign artists play the first day, with Czech DJs taking over for the second.

Taste of America, through August 11
A few days lefts to get your burger fill for the year courtesy of Alakarte’s Taste of America festival with participating restaurants. Buy ahead for a special three-course American inspired menu at a special price.

Summer Ice Cream, all month long
Nothing says summer better. Give the store-bought stick a pass this month and hit Zinc in the Hilton Old Town hotel for their selection of homemade ice cream and sorbets.

Dyzajn Market, August 3
Excellent chance to add some fun summer fashion bits to your wardrobe. A number of designers offering their clothing and jewelry, as well as artists plus food and music. will be on hand at the piazzeta next to the National Theatre from 10:00-20:00.

Outdoor Equipment Exhibition, through August 11
Close your summer with a camping trip (or stock up for next season) and get kitted out with the stuff on display at the PVA Expo grounds. Tents, sleeping bags, and state-of-the-art outdoor equipment will showcased and available for purchase.
