Collegium 1704 Prague Baroque Orchestra and Vocal Ensemble was founded by conductor and harpsichordist Václav Luks in 2005 and since then, they established position of European-level known orchestra: Collegium 1704 is acclaimed for their recordings (Diapason d’Or and CD of the Month and Editor’s Choice of Gramophone Magazine) as well as opera projects (Mysliveček: Olimpiade, Händel: Rinaldo etc.) and concerts (with Magdalena Kožená, Bejun Mehta, Véronique Gens, Vivica Genaux, Topi Lehtipuu etc.). They cooperate on a regular basis with festivals like Oude Muziek Utrecht, Festival de Sablé, La Chaise-Dieu, Prague Spring etc. Collegium 1704 presents two concert cycles in Prague and Dresden: Baroque Opera Stars in Prague Rudolfinum (since 2012) and Music Bridge Prague – Dresden (since 2008) with concerts in both historicaly-connected cities.
