Not a good experience

I used to eat at Beas fairly regularly. The last time I went there, I was turned off for good. I had my tray full of food, I'd paid for it, and as I raised a spoon full of food to my mouth, I discovered that the food had a bug in it. Not a small one, but a large flying insect. I took the tray to the woman at the counter and pointed it out. She promptly threw the bug in the trash, staring at me the whole time, which made me think this kind of... read more

Used to be so much better

Beas opened its first branch 6 years ago, and the food was great and a welcome change in Prague. Good value slop

I went to their branch on Belehradska to pick up a box to go. There was a long queue at lunch time, but it moved quick enough. The food was good value (90 crowns for a portion I couldn't finish) but bland (as most czech food is). It seems they've ripped off the Hari Krishner concept, but taken away the enlightenment, atmosphere and organically grown vegetables (i.e. everything good). S'okay I suppose, if you just need something warm,... read more
