Value for money

As an expat with not a lot of money (i teach) it is always a blessing that bars like Jama exist. Cheap beer and good food at a good price is what i need and receive at Jama. The staff always put a smile on my face. What more can i want? Maybe some sport on the television...but,hey,i drink and eat cheap here then head to a sportsbar. I reccommend Jama's burgers, they may not be the best in the world but you have to go a long way to beat them... read more

Special lunch menu

i discovered Jama thanks to my fellow southerner Becky as she has live in Prague much longer than me. I only arrived 2 months ago. I've tried a few restaurants and so far Jama has been the place i have been most comfortable eating in. I tried the famous Jama burger and was struggling to clear my plate. It is a big burger. I enjoyed the background music as it played some of my all-time favourite American songs. Most important of all i didn't... read more

Disappointing......

I've read all of the reviews, been with people in this place before, and to be honest it always looks hit and miss. This was my 2nd or 3rd time eating there and yet again i feel disappointed in the quality of the food. HOW people can call this place the best expat bar or even THE best bar in Prague is a joke to be honest. It's a reasonable place to have a beer but the service is certainly no better than most places in Prague, maybe even... read more

Burgerific turnaround!

Reviewed by A.B. Cartwright 12.06.2009
So by invitation I returned to Jama. I was going to try the burger again to see if it was just a fluke before; new cook maybe, trying out new products? The restaurant business can be quite involved. My previous review was unduly harsh, and I aim to rectify it. I ordered the cheddar burger with steak fries. I got the cheddar burger with steak fries. No mistake with my order, as I have read in numerous reviews of places around town. Together... read more
