Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty is on the lookout for a Digital Media Analyst who will be responsible for collection and distribution of digital metrics, including reporting results and educating staff on how to use this information.

What you'll do:

  • Manage digital metrics: collect and distribute digital performance measures acting as the main point of contact on digital performance and health; add new properties to analytics tools as necessary, ensuring that all relevant accounts are tracked, monitored and reported.

  • Provide insights: analyze, consolidate digital website & apps data, prepare analytical reports and present informative findings (both in writing and in-person) in English.

  • Collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the organization on interpreting and tracking digital metrics as well as on tools implementation. Monitor the implementation and use of censorship circumvention tools.

  • Analyze and Debug: analyze and identify problems with data quality of digital metrics and facilitate constructive dialogue between relevant teams to find solutions.

  • Train: contribute to training on interpreting digital metrics and using different digital analytics tools.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

We Need:

  • Familiarity and experience with website analytics tools; experience using Chartbeat, Emplifi, Google Analytics or other relevant ones to analyze digital performance.

  • Experience in media research.

  • Experience with censorship circumvention tools (e.g. VPN, mirror websites) is a plus.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English language; working knowledge of a broadcast region language is desirable, but not required.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with ability to identify issues and facilitate communication between relevant teams to reach problem solution.

  • End-user knowledge of MS Office applications and expert skills in Excel.

  • Ability to manage a large database of statistical and other information and to extract it for requested reports.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with little supervision under tight deadlines.

  • A degree in mass communications or market research.
