Czech (and Russian) is a delicacy, let's taste it together!
My name is Varvara and I have been teaching Russian for 14 years and Czech for foreigners for 10 years, 6 of which at Charles University. I only teach adults but at all levels (A1-C1). I can help you with Prague slang or prepare you for the Permanent Residency Czech Language Exam (A2) or the Czech Citizenship Language Exam (B1).
The brain is a muscle. In the same way, as we train our body, we can train our brain. I understand teaching as a duo of a trainer and a student. I am a demanding teacher because I want you to score a goal.
As a trained bohemian (I am currently writing a dissertation on how to teach foreigners), I like to tell students about the tumultuous history of the Czech language. I combine my know-how materials (grammar) with textbooks, exercise books, and videos. During the conversation, I correct grammar and pronunciation without interrupting the students. I always assign homework that I check at home.
I am a member of Jazykovědné sdružení ČR / Linguistic Association of the Czech Republic and I am a member of the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages
I interpreted at the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
