22-year-old Czech singer Gabriela Gunčíková will represent the Czech Republic at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Stockholm from May 10-14, 2016.

Gunčíková was runner-up at the second edition of Česko Slovenská SuperStar in 2011 at the age of 18. She won a Český slavík for New Artist that year, and has since released two studio albums, Dvojí tvář and Celkem jiná.

From 2014-5, she toured with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra as a vocalist.

The singer will perform the song I Stand at Eurovision, an English-language song with music by Christian Schneider and Sara Biglert and lyrics by Biglert and Aidan O’Connor.

The official video will be released later today, but here’s a short clip:

The Czech Republic hasn’t had much luck in recent Eurovision contests.

In 2010, the country withdrew from the contest citing low viewing numbers and poor results from their contestants. From 2007 to 2009, Kabát, Tereza Kerndlová, and Gipsy.cz all finished last or second-to-last in the semi-finals.

Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Bárta carried the Czech Republic back into the contest last year, but it was hardly a triumphant return. They also failed to qualify for the finals.
