Here are 5 reasons why you should go and visit this small multi-genre festival

• Cool v Plotě is an endemic multi-genre festival focused on single-artist acts that you won’t experience anywhere else in Europe. Showing the strength and creativity of the individual, proving self-sufficiency, and at the same time the need to share the fruits of creative potential with the audience.
• Many of the artists in the previous years have premiered new shows and concepts at this festival. You can reach all stages and podiums within 5-minutes. Písek is also located near the beautiful chateau Orlík giving visitors an opportunity to day-trip and return for some music in the evening.

• The line-up is looking pretty cool, take a look at some of the artists: James Harries (UK) – British singer living in Prague bringing along a brand new album, Mucha (CZ) – fun, energetic and honest. Paramount Styles solo (USA) – postpunk legend Scott McCloud (Soulside, Girls against Boys), Štepán Rak (CZ) – a guitar virtuoso, Pavel Hrubý (CZ) – a world premiere unique acoustic instrument with clarinet and saxophone influence. Along with 30+ other solo artists, there will be a play from Divadlo Sklep (Franz Kafka Up-date).

• The entry fee for the 2-day festival is not expensive at all, you can purchase tickets through goout.cz for 35 CZK or at the venue for 400 CZK.  In case of poor weather, the festival has the capacity to move the acts into inside venues.
• The world premiere of Moritz Simon Geist’s (DE) self-made robot orchestra, electronic music with self-made robots. Yes, actual robots!
