The Cultural Mile project launches with six major institutions participating, including Prague City Museum at Clam-Gallas Palace, Prague City Gallery in the Municipal Library, the Museum of Decorative Arts, Rudolfinum Gallery, Kunsthalle Praha, and Museum Kampa. Tesla will open its second Czech dealership on July 15 amid rising sales in the country. The expansion underscores Tesla's growing popularity in the Czech market, bolstered by a national subsidy program for electric car purchases.

#3 Czechia to sign security agreement with Ukraine

Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced last month that the Czech Republic will sign a security agreement with Ukraine on July 18 during the European Political Community summit in London. The agreement, finalized before last week's NATO summit in Washington, will cover cooperation in security and economic fields, similar to agreements Ukraine has signed with the UK and Germany.

#4 Czech music fest Colours of Ostrava returns for 2024 edition

One of the biggest music festivals in the Czech Republic returns to the former Dolní Vítkovice steelworks this weekend. Colours of Ostrava, scheduled for July 17-20, features headliners Sam Smith, Lenny Kravitz, and James Blake for a diverse mix of soulful ballads, rock anthems, alternative rock, and electronic sounds in the outdoor confines of a national site of industrial heritage. Scheduled opening act Queens of the Stone Age have had to bow out of the fest due to health reasons.
