This October, we’re going back.

2015 marks the 30th anniversary of Robert Zemeckis’ seminal 1980s classic Back to the Future, which starred Michael J. Fox as a time-travelling high-schooler and Christopher Lloyd as his scientist mentor.

It also happens to be the year that Fox’s Marty McFly travelled to in 1989’s Back to the Future Part II. (That film famously predicted a World Series win for the hard-luck Chicago Cubs, who have just made the playoffs this year; if they win the World Series, it will be their first since 1906.)

To mark the occasion, cities throughout the world are preparing special events later this month, around the dates Marty travelled to in the movie. Over in Los Angeles, a 4-Day gala featuring a Hoverboarding Day and an Enchantment Under the Sea Dance has sold out at $880 a ticket.

The films were never quite as popular in the Czech Republic as they were stateside, but both movies will be returning to Czech cinemas later this month courtesy of distributor Pannonia Entertainment.

Back to the Future I and II will be screened on October 21 at Prague cinemas Bio Oko and Kino Mat, with further screenings later in the month. At Oko, you can expect to see the decorations from the film along with actors in costume on the 21st.

Both films will also be screened at a variety of participating cinemas across the Czech Republic later in the month.

Proceeds from the Czech screenings will go towards helping the fight against Parkinson’s Disease through the charity Parkinson Help o.s. Star Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 30.

More information about the screenings can be found at the website of distributor Pannonia Entertainment.
