Holders of a Czech passport are able to travel visa-free to 183 countries across the world, the seventh-highest number of any passport, according to new data released this week by the Henley Passport Index.

While the number of countries a Czech passport holder can travel to without a visa remains the same as it was earlier this year, some shakeup from other passports among the top 10 means the Czech passport has moved from eighth to seventh strongest in 2019.

Heading into 2020, the Singaporean passport has tied the Japanese passport for the rank of most visa-free travel destinations, with holders able to freely enter 190 countries across the globe.

South Korea, meanwhile, has lost a visa free travel destination and now ties with Germany and Finland for second on the list.

European passports make up the bulk of the world’s strongest, with holders of passports from Denmark, Italy, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Netherlands, and Portugal all able to travel to 185 or more countries without a visa.

Holders of a UK or US passport can travel to 184 countries without a visa, just one more than those with a Czech passport.

UK passport holders can travel to Vietnam, Australia, and Guyana without a visa, which is required for Czech passport holders. Meanwhile, those with a Czech passport can travel to Iran and Turkey without a visa, while those with a UK passport cannot.

Compared to the US, Czech passport holders can travel visa-free to Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Iran, and Turkey, while US passport holders can travel without a visa to Mongolia, Central African Republic, Equitorial Guinea, Australia, and Guyana.

These are the world’s strongest passports to hold heading into 2020, with the number of visa-free travel destinations in parentheses:

Japan, Singapore (190) Finland, Germany, South Korea (188) Denmark, Italy, Luxembourg (187) France, Spain, Sweden (186) Austria, Netherlands, Portugal (185) Belgium, Canada, Greece, Ireland, Norway, United Kingdom, United States, Switzerland (184) Czech Republic, Malta (183) New Zealand (182) Australia, Lithuania, Slovakia (181) Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Slovenia (180)

Among the world’s weakest passports are those from Afghanistan (visa-free travel to 25 countries), Iraq (27), Syria (29), Somalia and Pakistan (both 31).
