After a six-year absence due to “a lack of interest from the Czech public after three failed attempts,” Czech Television has just announced that the Czech Republic will re-enter the next Eurovision contest, to be held in Vienna in 2015.

An internal selection will be held with an expert jury to select the Czech Republic’s entrant into the competition. The last Czech entry was Gipsy.cz back in 2009:

Kabát and Tereza Kerndlová represented the Czech Republic for the country’s two previous attempts in 2007 and 2008; Czech crooner Karel Gott sang for Austria back in 1968.
