A nicer Christmas for children from orphanages
Are you looking forward to gifts under the Christmas tree and quality time with your nearest and dearest for this year's holidays? Why not also make someone else happy? In cooperation with the Organization for Aid to Refugees, Roxy brings you a charity concert that aims to give gifts to children from children's homes. The evening called "My Kind of Santa" takes place on Dec. 7 at the nightclub Roxy in Prague and features artists Rest & Martin Matys, We Are Domi, and The Silver Spoons.
How does it work?
Admission to the concert is free, but visitors are asked to bring a toy, which will then be given to the children's home in Kralupy nad Vltavou and to refugee children in the Czech Republic. On the GoOut website, you reserve your ticket free of charge and choose whether you are going to bring a toy for a girl or a boy. The choice and purchase of the toy is then up to you, making it a nicer surprise for everybody.
Do not gift wrap the toy, so that organizers can easily give it to the person who will enjoy it the most. The recommended minimum gift price is CZK 300, but there are no limits to imagination or budget.
Who will perform at Roxy?
From his first singles, such as Balkonovka, Rest has created a unique position among Czech rappers during his career, which spans a decade. He will be accompanied on stage by his colleague from the Ty Nikdy label, Martin Matys.
The line-up of the evening will also feature the Czech-Norwegian group We Are Domi, led by Dominika Hašková, which represented the Czech Republic at Eurovision this year, and the indie rock band The Silver Spoons. After a series of successful singles, the band released its long-awaited debut "Come and Get It" this year.
