You may not think of Hradec Králové as one of the Czech Republic’s premier tourist destinations, but you might change your mind after seeing photographer Jan Husák’s gorgeous eight-minute timelapse video that seems to capture every inch of the city in breathtaking detail.
“Many Czech cities already have timelapse videos, but I have not yet seen a quality film depicting the beauty of Hradec Králové.” Husák told iDnes.cz.
So the photographer took it upon himself to create the video. From May to November of 2015, he took 46 trips to Hradec to compile the material.
More than 200,000 photographs later and a lot of time in the editing room, Husák stitched together the impressive eight-minute short, which is backed with an atmospheric music track.
The short film, produced for the Hradec-based photography collective alesco.cz, has since been nominated for a “Hradecká múza”, an annual award given by the city for cultural achievement.
