Renowned British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has announced a planned open-air concert near Hradec Králové Airport in the Czech Republic for next summer. Dubbed Park 360, the venue will host Sheeran on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

This concert will be the biggest cultural event in the history of Hradec Králové, according to the city's mayor.

The concert is organized by Ameba Production, which also produces the annual Rock for People festival. The organizers say they are well-equipped to handle the logistical challenges posed by the masses of people that will attend the event.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 26 through GoOut and Ticketportal, ranging in price from CZK 1,990 to CZK 2,990, and include access to the thematic fan zone and campgrounds or parking planned nearby.

Mayor Pavlína Springerová expressed enthusiasm that Hradec Králové was chosen over competing cities like Prague and Warsaw. She underscored the concert's importance in putting Hradec on the worldwide tour map for big names in music.

In an exciting addition, British singer Calum Scott will also perform at Hradec during the same event.

Sheeran's appearance is part of his "Mathematics Tour," with upcoming shows in Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Serbia, and other countries. His 2019 Prague concert, which was the last time Sheeran played in Czecha, drew 150,000 fans. The exact capacity of Park 360 and expected attendance have not yet been announced.

The concert signifies a major moment for Hradec Králové, expected to attract tens of thousands from across the Czech Republic and beyond to see the international superstar.
