Iggy Pop to Headline New Music Festival in Prague

The Metronome Festival has landed the punk legend as a headliner for its upcoming summertime event

Summer may feel a ways off given the current snowdrift, but today’s news that a June music festival, headlined by Iggy Pop, is in the works will surely heat up fans of the legendary American punk raconteur.

The newly announced Metronome Festival at Výstaviště Praha will take place from June 25-26. The festival is organized by the promoters behind the long-running United Islands Festival, on this year from June 23-26.

The line up will include a mix of foreign and domestic acts: English indie rockers Foals and The Kooks will support Pop, with domestic acts Ivan Kral (one-time bass player for Pop, Patti Smith, and Blondie), local electroswing foursome Mydy Rabycad, and Czech funk band J.A.R. just a few of the notable Czech performers.

Pop, the former frontman of The Stooges, will promote tracks from his new album “Post Pop Depression”.
