Innovation Week, a festival dedicated to advancement in business and technology, is set to take place in Prague from Oct. 7-14. This year’s event will host nearly 200 experts who will tackle pressing topics related to artificial intelligence, business innovation, climate change, and mental health.

The main event is scheduled for Oct. 8 at the ČSOB building in Radlice, and will feature 11 discussion panels and approximately 80 seminars from experts across a diverse range of fields. Talks will be presented in Czech or English, with live simultaneous translation into either language facilitated by Stenomatic AI and available through smartphones connected to the event's Wi-Fi.

Key themes and discussions

Participants will engage in critical conversations about the future of artificial intelligence for businesses and startups. Experts will address how leading companies innovate to maintain a competitive edge and the necessary transformation in the mindset of corporate leaders and their employees.

Prominent figures participating in the discussions include Michal Pěchouček, a respected cybernetics expert and director of the Artificial Intelligence Centre at Czech Technical University, and Jan Romportl, an authority on artificial intelligence.

Other notable speakers will include Vojtěch Vosecký, a circular economy expert, and Nino Bergfeld, retail consulting director at Salesforce. Additional discussions will focus on innovations required to combat global warming and the latest trends in mental health care.

Innovative solutions showcase

A key component of Innovation Week will be the innovation fair, featuring around 70 groundbreaking technologies and solutions from both Czech and international entities. Promising startups and established companies will demonstrate how technology and innovation will shape our future.

Examples of innovations include BTL's wireless EKG, a platform for monitoring physical and mental health from the Biomedical Engineering Faculty of Czech Technical University, and Myco's biodegradable material made from mushroom mycelium, designed to replace non-ecological packaging plastics.
