Summer in Czechia begins already this week as temperatures should reach into the upper 20s Celsius – the perfect weather for a relaxing outing to Prague's parks or riverside embankments.

Temperatures in Prague should be warm throughout most of this week, climbing as high as almost 30 degrees Celsius before cooling off by the weekend. The first part of the week should be sunny with some clouds, but there is a chance of thunderstorms later in the week.

The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) said the weather this week will be affected the pressure level over southern Scandinavia, which will cause very warm air from the southwest to gradually start to flow toward the Czech Republic. On Thursday weather will start to be affected by a wavy cold front that is likely to cause rain.

Monday will be partly cloudy with highs up to 22 degrees. Rain or even thunderstorms are possible in the southern part of the country. Night temperatures will drop to about 10 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday and Wednesday will continue the warming trend, getting as high as 28 degrees Celsius. Prague should stay dry but rain is possible in other parts of the country. Nighttime lows should hit between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius.

The weather could change significantly on Thursday as cooler air arrives and clashes with the warm air. Clouds will increase, and there is a very high likelihood of several hours of rain in Prague, and a chance of thunderstorms as well. Temperatures should start to drop to between 22 degrees and 27 degrees Celsius.

Rain could continue into Friday, especially in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. Temperatures should drop to a high of 23 degrees, and in the southern part of the country as high as 25 degrees.

The weekend should remain cooler, with decreasing chances of participation and daily high temperatures around 22 degrees Celsius and nighttime lows between 7 degrees and 12 degrees Celsius.
