In any event, if you’re craving a freshly-poured pint in the comfort of your own home, Peevo might have just what you’re looking for.
Billed as Prague’s first online pub, Peevo offers a small, always-changing selection of draft beers from some of the Czech Republic’s top microbreweries that users can order online and receive in plastic or glass bottles within hours.
Peevo was created by Matúš a Marek, two childhood friends and beer aficionados from Košice who previously collaborated on Feedo, a Czech delivery service for child care products. Their latest project, launched just last month, is more for the parents.
As of writing, Peevo has a 13° lager from Bad Flash Beers, a 14° IPA from Nachmelená Opice, an 11° lager from Lužiny, a 13° semi-dark from Chříč, a 14° red IPA from Clock, and an 11° lager and 17 IPA° from Antoš.
Draft beers can be ordered in .5-liter, 1-liter, and 1.5-liter bottles, with both plastic and glass bottle options.
Because of Peevo’s unique pouring method – the beers are not exposed to air while being tapped and bottled in Peevo containers – the beer retains 100% of its quality for up to four weeks. We imagine, however, you’ll probably drink it before then.
After creating an account, users can order beer online through the Peevo website or smartphone app.
If you order a beer before noon, it will be delivered from 14: 30-16: 00. If you order before 15:00, you can choose an hourly delivery time between 16:30 – 21:30, and if you order before 18:45, you can choose delivery between 19:30-20:30 or 20:30-21:30.
Standard transport runs 99 CZK, with free delivery for orders over 399 CZK. Express delivery within 90 minutes costs 299 CZK. All beer is sent via a special insulated box to ensure optimal coldness upon delivery.
