Classic Czech sweets, beloved by generations who grew up on them, may be an acquired taste for foreigners living in Prague — granted most of us acquire a taste for them. Many of these candies boast a hundred-year-old history or packaging designed by famous artists, others were developed with scant ingredients available during the Communist era which accounts for their offbeat (to some) flavor.
