A wickedly comic and chilling reminder of the price of freedom.

Red Peter is an articulate and muscular piece of total theatre, inspired by Franz Kafka´s short story A Report to an Academy.  Alone in his dressing room the fading Music Hall star and ape, Red Peter, contemplates a unique request from an esteemed scientific academy, an invitation to present his unique life story – his transformation from wild beast to ‘civilised man´.

In a show combining burlesque cabaret and mime with traditional elements of the one-man show, Simian Features present Red Peter at Divadlo Na Prádle – Kavárna, 21st to 30th May at 19.15 (20.15) as part of The Prague Fringe Festival 2009.

Doing the fringe means being adventurous and taking a chance. The
world over, fringe festivals tempt with an array of shows from around
the globe; music, comedy, dance, spoken word, theatre are all there to
discover. The intrepid fringe explorer will come across the exotic, the
strange and the bizarre, be entertained, moved and amused, taking in
not just one but several shows a day in their big fringe adventure.
Fringe Festival Praha offers almost 40 shows and 200 performances in 7
fantastic venues across beautiful Malá Strana over 9 very special
nights in May we hope you are up for the challenge, pack your bags and
hop on board.
