Makeup-wearing rock band Kiss is coming back to Prague, despite their previous show being billed as the last. The End of the Road World Tour will return to Prague’s O2 Arena on July 1, 2020.

Tickets go on sale
to Live Nation Club members on November 20 and to the general public
via Ticketmaster and Ticketportal on November 22 at 10 am.

Kiss was already in
Prague with the same tour this June at Eden Arena, playing hits from
across their career with a massive stage set and pyrotechnical
effects.

The veteran rock
band’s current tour is billed as a farewell, and is planned to last
three years. “All that we have built and all that we have conquered
over the past four decades could never have happened without the
millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums
over those years,” Kiss said in a statement accompanying the first
announced dates.

“This will be the
ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and the last chance for
those who haven’t. Kiss Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final
tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came
in — unapologetic and unstoppable,” the band added. Kiss Army
refers to the band’s fan base.

There was a Farewell
Tour in 2000–01, but that only served to revitalize the fans and
encouraged the band to continue to record new material.

The two original founding members, Starchild Paul Stanley and Demon Gene Simmons, by the time of the coming concert will be 68 and 70 years old respectively.

The other two original members, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, are not in the current lineup. Instead, Tommy Thayer wears the Space Ace makeup and plays guitar, while Eric Singer is Catman on percussion.

On the last few
tours the two leads seemed to be showing a little bit of wear. They
have decided to go out on top, rather than tone down the shows, which
involve levitating on wires, pyrotechnic effects, and a lot of
physical exertion, not to mention the uncomfortable stage makeup they
wear each night.

The band has sold
over 100 million records worldwide, and release 20 studio albums, not
counting the four solo album set in 1978.

They are still
best-known for their string of 1970s and ’80s hits including “Rock
and Roll All Nite,” “Shout It Out Loud,” “I Was Made for
Lovin’ You,” “Heaven’s on Fire” and “Crazy Crazy Nights.”

They were last in
Prague seven times already going back to 1996. They were also in Brno
in 2017 at part of the Kissworld tour, which bypassed Prague.
