A great start to this year’s RfP Festival on Monday with a line-up consisting entirely of Czech bands. Early-bird rock fans were treated to performances from Nanosféra, Donnie Darko, Criminal Collection and Momma Knows Best to name a few. Yesterday saw British Bloc Party, 30 Seconds to Mars and the progressive Ohm Square provide the all-important music to accompany the fantastic weather and atmosphere at Festival Park.

There have been a few changes to the published line up. Due to unforeseen circumstances, The Gaslight Anthem will now be playing on Thursday 4th of July (not the 3rd). RfP HQ have advised  that anyone who bought one day tickets with the intention of seeing The Gaslight Anthem can have them exchanged by writing to help@ticketsforpeople.cz

Chlöe Howl is a welcomed last minute addition to the already impressive RfP 2013 line-up. The chaps at RfP HQ were so impressed by the young Brit’s Bestival performance that they just had to bring her to the Czech Republic. Chlöe will be performing on the Staropramen Stage on Thursday (18.20-19.05). So make sure you’re there to see this rising star in action!

There are plenty of ways to keep up to date with what’s happening at this year’s festival. Why not download the Rock for People 2013 mobile application for Android and iPhone? It’s a convenient and handy way of finding out who’s playing, where and when, directly to your phone. Up-to-the-minute news and updates direct to your handset to keep you informed.

For the non-tech heads, make sure you pick yourself up a printed festival guide, full of useful information on the bands performing, timings and practical telephone numbers and advice to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable festival. For first time visitors, take time to familiarize yourself with the site itself and take advantage of the useful meeting points set up by RfP to keep your group intact over the four days of incredible music.

This year the “Rock for People moda” has been prepared by the good folks at zoot.cz. Together with RfP they have catered for all those high-fashion rockers, a series of RfP 2013 garments and fashion accessories to give that all important Rock-Fest look. Branded RfP wellies (950 CZK) in case the weather takes a turn for the worst, Jeepers Peepers sunglasses (399 CZK) to give you that all important shade from the Hradec Králové summer sun, and my personal favourite: the “Oh my Gott” RfP t shirt available in a range of sizes while stocks last.

The weather has been kind so far and it’s shaping up to be another great RfP festival with bands, activities and refreshments to suit all. So many great bands still to come!
