Lovers of the pop-up food zone vibe will be excited to hear about the opening of a second Manifesto Market location.

Smíchov residents can look forward to another open-air market offering street-food specialties from around the globe.

The temporary gastro marketplace, a sibling to the current Manifesto Market near the Florenc metro station, will be built on the unused space of the provisional parking lot next to the 19th century National House (Národní dům) in Smíchov at Namesti 14. rijna.

The exact date of opening of the new market will be released in May. The operation is slated to last for six months; it will move to a new location in spring 2020.

Organizers say that this edition will focus on beer:

“In the Manifesto in Smíchov, we will create a concept that will be centered on the beer culture and art of Czech brewers, and we will focus on the highest quality and variety. We are in touch with Pilsner Urquell and we are interested in their first-class tank beer, but we will also draw careful a selection of small and micro breweries,” Martin Barry, founder of the Manifesto Market concept, said in a press release.

Similar to the first Manifesto Market, visitors can expect a cashless experience. An anticipated ten containers are planned for the new location. In addition to beer, exotic foods and cultural evenings are also on the lineup — the new space will have a dance terrace, floor seating for guests, and a stage.

A green oasis with water elements and urban furniture, designed by Czech architects Chybik+Krištof will inhabit the space between Újezd and Anděl, which organizers hope will bring a much needed infusion of urban activity to the district, a business hub near the Nový Smíchov shopping mall.
