The 11th Signal Festival will feature works by renowned Czech artist Jan Kalab and Mexican-Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, as well as the largest gallery zone in the event's history. The festival runs from Oct. 12–15 in Prague, presenting 20 light-based installations across various venues.

Kalab's "Irideus Bulla" uses perspective and color play. Lozano-Hemmer's "Thermal Drift" captures visitors' body heat via thermal cameras and projects colorful portraits. There will also be the festival's first-ever children's installation. A special ticket grants access to seven installations in the new gallery zone, including pieces by Spanish studio Playmodes and Norwegian-Portuguese collaborative Entangled Others.

Playmodes' 25-meter wide "Horizon" is the largest single work. Entangled Others generates microorganisms through artificial intelligence for "Sediment Nodes." Other highlights include Polish collective Ksawery Komputery's interactive "Flux" and veteran Czech studio Laterna Magika revisiting technologically formative periods at the City Museum of Prague's Florentinum building.

Elsewhere, the works of renowned Czech artists like Jan Kalab and Kateřina Šedápaired with video mappings of the Municipal Library and St. Cyril and Methodius Church. Šedá's two-year "Pacific Prague Trail" metaphorically references the famed U.S. hiking path. The festival continues collaborations with the Kunsthalle Prague and St. Salvator Church, among others.

Free access is available to 13 installations across two trail routes. However, tickets are needed to experience the full program. Two ticket options include "Signal Plus" granting gallery zone access and "Signal VIP" for an exclusive, front-of-line guided experience.

Now in its 11th edition, Signal Festival illuminates Prague's architectural and cultural heritage through light and technology each October.
