The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art has opened KAFKAESQUE, an extensive exhibition dedicated to Prague-born writer Franz Kafka, 100 years after the writer’s death. British band Nothing But Thieves is set to perform at Forum Karlín on Feb. 16. Promoting their fourth album, “Dead Club City,” to be released on July 7, 2024, The tour previews the album’s emotions related to loss, hope, and new beginnings.

Catch a new English-friendly play

A new English-language comedy show, The Libido is a Lonely Hunter unfolds at The Harman Street Theater. In the style of Monty Python and Mel Brooks, the play explores love and lust across history, from early Christendom to modern-day expat experiences. Showtimes are tomorrow and on Feb. 16, 17, and 24. The production humorously delves into the misconceptions about libido and love.

The Smíchov riverside season of gastro festivals kicks off with the Pork and Goose Feast on Feb. 17. Uncork weekend fun

The fourth La Bouteille de Champagne festival, highlighting exclusive handmade champagne wines, will be held on Feb. 17 at the Great Hall of the New Town Hall. See modern dance magic

F*cking Beautiful Spring by Spitfire Company unfolds on Feb. 18 at Ponec Theater for Dance. Directed by Petr Bohač, the 45-minute dance performance, inspired by John Adams’ El Niño oratorio, Kae Tempest’s rap verses, and the musical ritual of Shortparis, tells the story of a sixteen-year-old girl's self-discovery, delving into solitude, friendship, subway purgatory, and the circle of initiation.

Visit iQLANDIA from Prague

Europark will present a free interactive exhibition in collaboration with iQLANDIA Liberec from Feb.13 to March 10. The event features 16 interactive exhibits for all age groups, face and smell recognition, a blind map of Europe, strength testing, and perception challenges. Visitors can also participate in Saturday workshops.
