Please do not adjust your monitors…a brand new Expats.cz has arrived!

2011 is our 10-year anniversary. To mark a decade on the market we thought it would a great time to relaunch Expats.cz.

So what´s new?

You may have noticed that we‘ve broken down the many areas of the site into 18 main categories; now, you should be able to find what you are looking for with greater ease. Also, those of you who love a bargain will be pleased to see that our classifieds system has been given a huge revamp.

In addition to these key changes, we will be producing much more content and interactive media for the main categories, and over time these areas will grow to offer better functionality and more services, competitions and regular events.

Speaking of events, we have two dates for your diary:

First, we would like to invite you to join us at our Relaunch Party on May 28th. If you didn’t make it to our last party at SaSaZu, attended by 1600 Expats.cz fans, be sure not to miss this one.

On June 18th, we have a brand new location for our annual International Market.

Moving to the Holešovice marketplace, we expect a healthy attendance of 2,000+. If you’re interested in registering as a seller at the event, please contact us as soon as possible.

More information coming soon – watch this space!

Moving on to Facebook: for those of you who have not been seeing our posts on your wall, we‘re still here; but thanks to a Facebook change, unless you comment on our posts regularly our feed will not feature on your wall!

Fear not: a simple change to your Facebook settings will keep you updated with our daily posts and competitions.

HERE’S THE FIX: under your ‘Home´ tab, click the ‘Most Recent´ link on the top right of your Newsfeed. Then, click on the dropdown arrow beside it and select “Edit Options.” Click on “Show Posts From” and change the setting to “All of Your Friends and Pages.”  After you do this, you will receive our daily posts straight into your wall.

And finally, here´s the good stuff: we thought as we enter our 10th year, it would only be right to offer a great competition. How does 100 beers sound?

We hope you enjoy our new look & functionality – if you’d like to share your thoughts on the changes with us, please do so through this discussion thread.
