Dish Fine Burger Bistro 2.0

Based on the roaring success of this Vinohrady burger bar, the owners are happily planning a second location, scheduled to open somewhere in Prague 1 in October or November this year. Not many other details are known, but they say it will be a slightly different concept than the current restaurant (they describe it as “Dish 2.0″ rather than Dish 2”).

Continuing the trend of new options for Vietnamese banh mi in Prague, Banh Mi Makers opened last month in New Town, with the added option of delivery available. Prices are reasonable, and in addition to the various grilled-meat or pate baguettes, there is a selection of homemade juices. www.banhmimakers.cz

Striving to leave no neighborhood unturned, the Aromi group has opened La Bottega Tusarova, a new bistro and shop in Prague 7–Holešovice. It has a warm buffet of daily specials, as well as house-made breads, salamis, prosciutto, cheeses, desserts, pastas and coffees. www.labottega.cz

The restaurant Meze in Karlín now has a regular Sunday brunch, which includes a cold and warm buffet, freshly grilled meats and seafood, multiple desserts and homemade tea, coffee and lemonade. The cost is 595 CZK per person. www.mezerestaurant.cz

Agave in Old Town also now has a weekend brunch available on both Saturdays and Sundays. The a la carte menu features the likes of a rancheros omelet, huevos rancheros, ceviche, chorizo biscuits and gravy, Mexican French toast and several quesadillas, among other things. Restaurant Open

After weeks of looking decidedly closed, Restaurant Open has finally opened its doors. The Vinohrady eatery features an open kitchen and a seasonal, Continental menu, as well as an extensive French and Italian wine collection.  www.openrestaurace.com

Culinary Cinema

In cooperation with FebioFest and the Berlin International Film Fest, the next incarnation of the Culinary Cinema events takes place March 24–26th. The original of this cute wine bar, located at Výton down by the river, has opened a second location in ever-greater Karlín, close to Karlínske náměstí.
