Continuing the trend of new options for Vietnamese banh mi in Prague, Banh Mi Makers opened last month in New Town, with the added option of delivery available. Modrý zub in Anděl 

New noodle shop

The popular noodle joint Modrý zub is expanding even further, now with a third location in Anděl, offering the same Thai classics as the Spálená and Jindřišská branches but in a brand-new, urban-chic space in Prague 5, conveniently located for a stop-off before a film or after a stroll in the nearby Kinský Gardens. www.modryzub.com/andel

Plevel opens Jindřišská location

Who would have thought just a few years ago that there would be so many vegan options in Prague? The demand continues to grow, and Plevel, the ultra-hip café-bar in Vršovice, now has a second restaurant downtown, in the Jindřišská Passage just off Wenceslas Square. Plevel www.restauraceplevel.cz

La Bottega Tusarova

Aromi is spreading the food love

Striving to leave no neighborhood unturned, the Aromi group has opened La Bottega Tusarova, a new bistro and shop in Prague 7–Holešovice. It has a warm buffet of daily specials, as well as house-made breads, salamis, prosciutto, cheeses, desserts, pastas and coffees. www.labottega.cz

New brunch options

The brunch spread at Meze

The restaurant Meze in Karlín now has a regular Sunday brunch, which includes a cold and warm buffet, freshly grilled meats and seafood, multiple desserts and homemade tea, coffee and lemonade. The cost is 595 CZK per person. www.mezerestaurant.cz

Agave in Old Town also now has a weekend brunch available on both Saturdays and Sundays. The a la carte menu features the likes of a rancheros omelet, huevos rancheros, ceviche, chorizo biscuits and gravy, Mexican French toast and several quesadillas, among other things. Restaurant Open

After weeks of looking decidedly closed, Restaurant Open has finally opened its doors. The Vinohrady eatery features an open kitchen and a seasonal, Continental menu, as well as an extensive French and Italian wine collection.  www.openrestaurace.com

Breakfast lovers, rejoice: This new bistro and café in Karlín, slated to open at the end of this month, promises to serve breakfast all day. Upscale Italian deli in Vinohrady

Culinary Cinema

In cooperation with FebioFest and the Berlin International Film Fest, the next incarnation of the Culinary Cinema events takes place March 24–26th. The original of this cute wine bar, located at Výton down by the river, has opened a second location in ever-greater Karlín, close to Karlínske náměstí. The new outlet offers the same in-depth selection of harder-to-find French wines from small wineries and regularly hosted wine tasting evenings. www.pasapas.cz
