Ukrainian travel agency JoinUP!, which offers an English version of its site, has officially launched operations in the Czech Republic. It offers direct flights to some of Czechia's most-popular holiday destinations like Egypt, Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus. The company says it wants to reshape how Czechs travel abroad.

JoinUP!, one of Ukraine’s largest tour operators, has been rapidly expanding in Europe since the widescale outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war led to the closure of Ukrainian airports. After entering the Baltic and Polish markets, the company is now targeting Czech travelers.

Founded in 2010, JoinUP! currently offers travel packages to more than 40 destinations, including Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Montenegro, Albania, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, the Dominican Republic, and the UAE.

JoinUP! is also encouraging Czech tourists to consider flying from Katowice, Poland, a strategy the company successfully implemented in other European markets. By offering flights from multiple departure points, it seeks to provide greater flexibility and convenience to travelers—as well as lower prices.

Travelers can fly to the Dominican Republic, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Spain, and Montenegro from Katowice with the agency.

The agency has ambitious growth plans, aiming to serve 100,000 clients in Czechia annually within three years. For comparison, German tour operator TUI, a leading competitor, handled around 50,000 Czech travelers last year and is targeting the same 100,000-client mark in 2025.

The expansion follows a recent EUR 500,000 (CZK 12.5 million) investment in establishing JoinUP!’s first office in Prague. The company has so far created 10 jobs, with projections to expand its workforce by three to 10 times in the next two years, based on its previous growth trends in Poland and the Baltics.

JoinUP! operates under the same corporate umbrella as SkyUp Airlines, allowing the company to control flight routes and schedules. Over the past four years, the brand has maintained a business turnover of approximately EUR 380 million (CZK 9.5 billion) annually.

After entering the Czech market, the company plans further expansion into Slovakia and Hungary, continuing its push across Central and Eastern Europe.

With the Czech tourism sector rebounding after the Covid-19 pandemic, competition among travel agencies is heating up. Established operators like Čedok, which expects to serve half a million clients this year, continue to dominate the market. However, JoinUP!’s aggressive expansion and investment signal its determination to establish a foothold in the region.
