Give

Flowers are on obvious, but often correct, choice. Flower shops bloom everywhere in Prague, but for a bit more special bouquet, there are some nice alternatives. Belles Fleurs (www.bellesfleurs.cz) with locations on Na Poříčí and Bělehradská also does delivery. They are currently featuring a lovely pink and red heart shaped bouquet starting at 499 CZK. Annie´s Tulip (www.anniestulip.cz) and Beautiful Flowers (www.krasnekvetiny.cz) are also  recommended choices.

And of course, the ubiquitous box of chocolates. Forgo the Kinder Surprise and truly surprise with a yummy box from Koruna Pralines Chocolaterie (V Jamě 5, Prague 1). Their Becherovka-filled chocolates are a treat. Pick up some Belgian goodies at the Choco Shop, in front of the Choco Museum (www.choco-story-praha.cz) or from Leonidas inside the Palác Flóra mall (www.palacflora.cz).

Café Saint Tropez (www.cafe-st-tropez.eu) is hiding three rubies – valued at 10,000 CZK apiece – in randomly selected chocolate bonbons from now through Valentine´s Day.

And if you just aren´t in a lovey-dovey mood this year; opt to celebrate Chinese New Year instead. It falls on February 14 as well.
