René Richter, who claims to have the strongest teeth on earth, has set a Guinness World Record for “the most cans ripped with teeth in one minute.”
In a televised appearance uploaded by the Guinness World Records Youtube channel this week, Richter impressively gnaws his way through 36 aluminum cans in sixty seconds. The Czech beat his own previous record of 33 cans.
Richter told iPrima.cz that his father played a role in how he acquired the talent. “My father once brought me a can. I saw the movie 'Squad,' where some soldier chewed them up, so I tried it too. Since then I started to enjoy it,” he said.

A man of many talents
Richter, dubbed “The Golem,” has also broken several other world records. In 2019 he set a record for the highest amount of coins bent by teeth inside one minute. He also holds the (highly specific) record of “the most broken concrete held in the jaws in one minute.”
In the past, he has stopped a live electric drill with his teeth and also pulled a 10-ton truck with his impressive gnashers. Richter also managed to pull an entire tram several meters with just his teeth.
Richter hails from Opava, Moravia-Silesia, and has been utilizing his dental talent for over 20 years. His skills are not limited to his jaw, though. Footage online can be found of him pulling 10 cars with his fingers and even lifting an 800-kilogram plane with his own hands.
The heaviest road vehicle pulled by one’s teeth is a whopping 15,730 kilograms, an achievement made in 2021. Richter may be tempted to take a bite at this record in the near future.
