Prague never needs an excuse to throw a good party – whether it’s just another typical Saturday night or an especially ghoulish occasion, like Halloween. Many of the city’s top clubs and restaurants have giddily latched onto this beloved Western tradition and made it their own. So whatever your poison, throw on some fake blood and fangs and hit one or two (or three!) of these hotspots for a howling good time.
Mecca will transform its expansive space into a horror-ific forest full of ghosts, witches and other chillingly undead creatures. With a program that includes a trio of top DJs and a dress code that requires revelers to “be scary!”, this brash Holešovice darling promises to put on a “shocking” show. It may be one of the capital’s main tourist hubs, however, the Hard Rock Cafe still knows how to party like a true local. The menu offers “ghoulish drink specials” as well as a live music performance by The Moonshine Howlers, followed by a Djane Rocka video show. Don’t forget to wear a costume.
Mecca keeps the Halloween spirit roaring with its encore OMG Party. Look forward to a night of creepy decorations, special Halloween drinks made by a couple of bloodsucking bartenders, lots of music and dancing as well as a frolicking band of “sexy OMG boys” (OMG!!). Ace DJ Adam Watts, flying in from Sydney, will act as the party’s grand marshal.
Sure, Halloween’s about scary costumes, harmless tricks and a bunch of treats, but it can also be a good networking opportunity. InterNations Prague is hosting a spook-filled rendezvous at Občanská Plovárna, an upscale Thai restaurant along the waterfront that recently reopened following the June floods. Enjoy a couple of drinks with your fellow (costumed) expats.

Radost is giving its popular FX Bounce hip-hop night a Halloween twist. The DJ box will be occupied by KWÉ, Noir and Jorgos, The Baddes Chicks will be staging a live ladies showcase. Get ready to have a freaky good time!
Ring in your Halloween with some rollicking Czech punk rock bands at Prague’s formidable Rock Cafe. The night will be headlines by Dilemma in Cinema, an experimental punk group, and Projekt Parabelum, an underground rock band. Free admission.

SaSaZu’s fifth installment of Bloody Sexy Halloweekend is being billed as “the event of 2013.” The program features a wide-range of international, including the Zombie Kids and Damon Paul, as well as bloody sexy dancing and a bloody sexy costume contest. More than 50,000 CZK in prizes will be given out.
