Where to Ice Skate in Prague This Winter

Letná Park, Prague 7
Across from the Sparta Praha stadium in Prague 7, the city of Prague will be operating a skating rink open to the public free of charge as part of this year’s European Capital of Sport celebrations. The rink opens this Saturday through January 1. More info. 

Ovocný trh, Prague 1
The popular skating rink by Prague’s Estates Theatre will return from Monday, December 5, until the end of January. Open daily 10:00 – 21:30. Free admission. Skate rental available for 50 CZK, with proceeds going to charity. More info. 

Na Františku, Prague 1
From December 9 until mid-March, the sports arena behind Prague 1’s central hospital will feature a skating rink open from 8:00 – 17:00 on weekdays and 10:00 – 19:00 on weekends. Admission: 50 CZK. More info. 

Tower Park, Prague 3
Beneath Prague’s prominent TV tower in Žižkov, skaters can enjoy this picaresque rink at Tower Park through March. Admission prices range from 80 – 120 CZK based on the time of entry; skate rental available for 50 CZK. More info.

Arkády Pankrác, Prague 4
From today until the end of February, this temporary rink in front of the shopping center will operate from 9:00 – 21:00. Admission: 50 CZK, skate rental: 80 CZK. More info. 

Galerie Harfa, Prague 8
On the roof of this shopping center adjacent to Prague’s O2 Arena, skaters can use the rink during 15:00 – 18:30 on weekdays and Saturday from 19:00 – 20:30. Afternoon hours (13:00 – 14:30) are reserved for children. More info. 

Centrum Černý Most, Prague 9
Opening later this month through February, this rink by the western entrance to the shopping center will be open daily from 9:00 – 21:00. Admission: 60 CZK. More info. 

Gutovka, Prague 10
One of Prague’s largest temporary rinks, this 400 square meter arena will open in the Prague 10 park from December 10. Two-hour admission is 30 CZK for children, 60 CZK for adults; all-day rates at double that price. The entire rink can also be booked for hokey games and other events in 60-minute blocks. More info.
