Municipal police officers received a call yesterday from the employees of a hotel in Prague 3 who made an unexpected discovery in the hotel room of one of their guests, CNN Prima reports, citing a police report.
Both the bed and the wardrobe in the room were slithering with snakes, and a black-and-white cat was sitting on the windowsill. The woman who rented the room, and who was supposed to check out on that day, could not be reached. This prompted the hotel employees to call the emergency number 156.
The police arrived at the scene accompanied by a worker from the environment department, and secured the premises. Using social networks, police officers contacted the relatives of the woman who was staying in the room, and then the owner of the snakes herself. The latter returned later in the day to settle the bill and move out, together with the animals. As the police writes in the report, she did not commit any illegal act.
