TOIS is close community of over 35 nationalities in the heart of Ostrava. Our Mission is to create a caring community of lifelong learners, each equipped with the knowledge and skills to be successful in an ever-evolving world.
As an advocate of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and a champion of the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile, we nurture young people to grow and fulfil their personal and academic potential with dignity and respect.
At the Early Years Centre, we help children aged 3-5 to develop coordination, creativity, and expression. With so much available in the immediate vicinity of the school, including Comenius Park, the Ostrava Zoo, and the Arts Museum, our students get to learn and play in environments that encourage discovery, teamwork and problem solving.
At the Primary School, learners aged 6-11 discover the world around them through engaging Units of Inquiry that develop key skills and understandings in mathematics and literacy. Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Foreign languages are taught by specialists outside of the homeroom.
At the Secondary School, students of the Middle Years and Diploma programmes transition from adolescence to young adulthood, expanding the depth and breadth of their understandings. We encourages students to discover, connect and achieve their aspirations in a broad array of subject areas, as well as in the specialised fields they will pursue at universities around the world. Our graduates consistently place above the world average in DP Examinations facilitating entry to the universities of their choice.
