Native English and German Teachers Needed

Fantail Academy is a small, family-owned language school located Prague. We focus on offering quality language courses for children, but also provide lessons for companies and adult individuals and groups.

Positions Available

We are looking for highly energetic, creative, experienced and qualified (TEFL/TESOL) teachers for both children (English) and adults (English and German):

2. Group classes with children from grade 1 – 9. Lessons are in the afternoon between 12:30 and 17:00. These are elective (after-school) lessons that take place in rented classroom space at state schools (Prague 1, Prague 5 and Prague 19). In most cases you will be the sole teacher and have full responsibility for your classes and the progress of students. You will follow a set curriculum and be expected to teach according to Fantail Academy guidelines using Fantail and your own resources. Lessons are 60 or 90 minutes. Pay starts at 500kč / 60 min.

4. Group / Individual lessons with adults. We require both English and German native speakers in Prague. Lessons take place at company offices next to the metro station Budějovická, Prague. You will be expected to prepare and deliver very high-quality lessons to small groups (max. 4) and individuals (usually top management) according to the needs of the learners / company. You will be able to use some Fantail resources (i.e. textbooks and online materials) as well as your own. Lessons are 60 min. Pay starts at 500kč / lesson.

Ideal candidates will:

- be a native speaker (or have native-like proficiency)
- have at least 2 years of teaching experience (degree in Education an advantage)

- have TESOL/TEFL (or equivalent) certification
- be extremely reliable
- have previous experience teaching children from age 5 to 15
- be friendly and approachable
- be extremely well organised
- be able to deliver creative, interesting and fun lessons
- have excellent communication skills
- have a high degree of professionalism and commitment to the teaching profession
- be willing to commit to the academic year 2024 / 2025 (June 28, 2024) with possibility of extending to academic year 2025 / 2026 with re-signing bonus!

- be willing to travel to different teaching locations around Prague
- have trade licence (Živnostensky list)
