See an Italian chart-topper

If you’re a fan of Eurovision, or Italian music in general, come listen to singer Diodato at Palác Akropolis on May 27. The singer who represented Italy last year in the Eurovision Song Contest is the darling of music festivals in the Italian peninsula, where he became the first musical artist to close the Venice International Film Festival.

Relax in the park or take a melodic Sunday stroll

The sunny Saturday ahead is the perfect time for outdoor stretching, relaxing, and energizing your body and mind at the Prague Troja Botanical Garden, which holds a Body and Mind Day on May 27. The following day, calm your mind and prepare yourself for the week ahead with the first of a series of Musical walks at the Botanical Garden (which last until Sept. 10). 

Get to know your neighbors

The multi-genre neighborhood festival Žižkovské mezidvorky on May 27 is an occasion to discover lesser-known corners of the hip neighborhood, as well as its colorful residents, through art workshops, live music performances of many kinds, a selection of food and drinks, including wine tastings. 

Catch two cinematic sunsets

Take a virtual trip to Hawaii in the company of Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, the stars of the romantic comedy Just Go With It, showing at Sunset Cinema on the rooftop of Arkády Pankrác on May 28. The melancholy drama Aftersun, starring Paul Mescal, which won accolades at international film festivals, is at Kino Atlas on the same day. 

Attend a fest (or two)

The second day of the Liveurope music festival at Palác Akropolis on May 26 showcases young talents from all over Europe, such as Estonian discovery Kitty Florentine, Prague electronic musician Bad Focus, Lisbon trio Ditch Day, and many more. On May 27 and 28, head to Psychiatrická nemocnice Bohnice for the Mezi ploty festival, which brings together popular Czech acts like Kašpárek v rohlíku, Bára Ladrová, Mucha, and many others.  

Bid bonjour to all things French

After a one-year break, the French theater festival Sněz tu zabu returns to Prague on May 26 and 27, with performances in French and Czech. In addition to plays, the NoD Theater will also host concerts and Czech-French conversation sessions for beginners.

Also this weekend, the French Market at Holešovická tržnice from May 26-28 has live music and French wine and delicacies, including cheeses, sausages, quiche, oysters, pastries, macarons, and more.

Join a block party in Prague 10

The iconic Korso Krymská returns to hip Krymská street in Vršovice, which will be closed to traffic on May 27, with live music, food and drink, and some surprises for the passers-by. The event is an opportunity to explore and support local businesses. 

Get an adrenaline rush

The 2023 edition of the Coolife Fest on May 27 turns the Smíchovská náplavka into the perfect spot to watch freeskiers and skateboarders perform acrobatic moves on pontoons built in the middle of the Vltava, which will also be the scene of the spectacular landing of top swoop freestyle parachutists.

Listen to Roma rhythms

The Khamoro Festival of Roma Culture takes place in various venues in Prague from May 28 to June 3, offering film screenings, exhibitions, theater performances, and the unmistakable atmosphere of concerts featuring colorful Roma music. Read more in our article.
