Home renovations can be a hassle, especially if you have no clue where to start, what you want, or who to turn to for help. You know, for example, that your bathroom needs more light, your kitchen could use a completely new look, or your living room is crying for a makeover.

However, undertaking such a project on your own is out of the question. You have neither the time nor the skills nor, frankly, the patience for these types of DIY endeavors. You need expert advice, guidance, and someone with a keen eye for aesthetics who can transform that bathroom, kitchen, or living room into something spectacular.

Casa Moderna can help you breathe new life into your home. This family-run interior design atelier offers clients comprehensive services from design to implementation, providing expert supervision at every stage of a project’s lifecycle.

“We listen carefully to the wishes of our clients. We care about their feelings and are not afraid to experiment and come up with unique, refreshing ideas,” says Stanislav Šesták, Casa Moderna’s business director and owner.

“The base for everything is the high-quality and details that are represented in our interior projects, which are not only pleasant, but also practical. Our team includes architects and designers, who are professionally trained, as well as extensively experienced employees who can complete interiors from installing flooring to adding the final styling touches.”

You get everything under one roof at Casa Moderna. The showroom in Dolní Břežany, an area of 500 sqm, is where you’ll lay out your design plans and choose your furnishings with a team of experts. Pick a new kitchen, furniture, carpets, textiles, wallpaper, floors, and doors. If what you’re looking for isn’t in the showroom, the design team will track it down for you – or make it from scratch.

If you require custom furniture, Casa Moderna can deliver that, too, producing one-of-a-kind pieces in its own carpentry workshop. The company stays on top of global trends and partners with a number of leading furniture and home decor manufacturers from Italy, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Slovenia.

The team routinely visits interior design fairs in Italy and Germany to stay up-to-date and give clients more to pick and choose from.

People will come to our showroom looking for furniture, and then they realize they need a complete renovation,” says Tingting Shan, an interior designer at Casa Moderna. Sometimes, clients find it easier to do a complete renovation than to change a couple of pieces.”

Take, for example, Shan’s current project. It started as a partial renovation, but “we ended up persuading the client to change the whole thing because it wouldn’t match if you put new furniture on old flooring, so it’s a work in progress,” she says.

Once the design plan is finalized, renovation work is usually completed within a few weeks. “Sometimes, when we change directions, completion can take longer, but in general, once we break ground, the actual renovation can take as little as two weeks,” says Shan.

The company was built upon a solid foundation of custom furniture, home interior production (and later) premium flooring wholesalers. An offshoot of Dílna Šesták, a small carpentry workshop founded by three brothers more than 30 years ago, Casa Moderna truly connects all the pieces of this family business.

The company frequently works with expats. Its multi-cultural team speaks English, Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian and Czech. Call today to set up a visit to the Casa Moderna showroom and start planning your next home renovation.

BEFORE and AFTER pictures from apartment reconstruction

For one recent completion – an apartment in Prague’s Kateřinky district – the clients wanted to create an open, airy, well-lit space, dominated by beige and white tones. Casa Moderna opened up the space by knocking down the partition between the living room and the hallway, allowing natural light to pour in from the windows. The use of the rounded corners of the built-in wardrobes and kitchen cabinets softens and seamlessly connects the kitchen and living area.

The custom built-in furniture in the living room, study and kitchen come from Dílna Šesták, as did the hanging bookcase with integrated LED lighting and the TV chest.

Casa Moderna is on a mission to make home renovations pleasant, seamless experiences, while helping clients create a space they’ll always be happy to return to, whether that be a living room, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen or an entire flat or house.
