At last, devotees of Dermalogica´s cult skin care line can get their “fix” at the new Dermalogica Store and Skin Treatment centre now open in Prague´s Vinohrady district.  For those who haven´t yet experienced Dermalogica´s no-nonsense approach to skin care, the store brings some much-needed clarity to the over-hyped world of cosmetics.

Located in Prague´s Vinohrady district, just 5 minutes walk from Jiřiho z Poděbrad metro station and less than 10 minutes from city centre, the store offers the complete range of Dermalogica´s highly acclaimed skin care products.  At Dermalogica, the focus is on skin health, not beauty or pampering, and the store includes some of Dermalogica´s signature feature zones designed to help customers to understand their skin, to educate them on their specific skin problems and needs, and to show them how to get the best from their Dermalogica products at home.

One of the feature zones is the Skin Bar and Product Pool, where customers can come for an in-depth skin analysis – or “Face Mapping“ in Dermalogica speak – carried out by a trained Dermalogica Skin Therapist.  Face Mapping analysis separates the face into 14 different zones so that the customer gets a thorough understanding their skin and enables the therapist to recommend a personalised prescription of products for at-home use.  This “try-it-yourself“ zone is complete with mini facial steamers and mirrors, and the full range of Dermalogica retail products is on-hand in the Product Pool to try and test.  Face Mapping and Skin Bar services are offered free of charge.

The store also includes a treatment room where personalised treatments using the Dermalogica professional range are carried out by a professional skin therapist.  Dermalogica does not have a “cookie-cutter” approach and so unlike other “beauty centres“ there is no menu of treatments available here.  Instead, the Dermalogica treatment is 100% customised to your skin´s needs, so that it´s one treatment – that´s different every time.  Your skin determines what treatment it needs at the time.

In the near future, the store will also introduce MicroZone Treatments – 20 minute zone-specific treatments designed to deal with problem areas.  MicroZone is ideal for time-compressed people who can´t manage the time for a full treatment, for a quick fix for troubled skin or as a maintenance treatment in between Dermalogica Skin Treatments.

And for men, Dermalogica´s straight-talking results-driven attitude, products that deliver what they promise, and modern minimalistic packaging, Dermalogica is a welcome relief in the often “frilly“ world of skin care.  The Shave line, which will be available from April, is a compact range of products created to deal with the specific shaving-related needs and problems.
