Expat Expo 2009, the first in the Czech Republic, will open its gates to visitors at Prague Exhibition Grounds Holešovice on October 31 at 9 a.m. The event is a unique opportunity for everyone living in Prague and its surroundings. It is organized by Prague Solutions s.r.o., a local company specializing in tailor-made solutions and comprehensive support for foreigners living in or relocating to Prague and other Czech cities through its two branches, ReloCare and ExpatCare.

The event is geared toward establishing face-to-face contact between companies and expatriate customers and also aims to attract foreign visitors who might decide to stay here longer and native locals who can find useful products and services.

This is the first event of its kind on the Czech market to assemble in the same place and time many companies tending to expatriates´ daily needs and wants. Although there have been some attempts at such an event before, no one has ever managed the scope of Expat Expo , where about 80 exhibitors will present and offer their products and services in the fields of banking, education, real estate, health care, travel, catering and leisure, and others. Expat Expo 2009 is also unique in that it is a B2B, B2C and C2C — consumer-to-consumer — event. An important goal of this inaugural edition is also social, to facilitate the gathering of people who may occasionally otherwise convene in individual national or professional groups but who rarely meet all together. The social function will be highlighted by two charities, the International Women´s Association of Prague and the Tereza Maxova Foundation, which will present their programs and give expats an opportunity to donate to worthwhile causes in their adopted country.

The purpose of this event is to attract and engage everyone, and there are plenty of activities planned for adults and children to keep them happy and busy during the main event, which ends at 7 p.m. The all-day exhibition will be followed by the must-see event of the year, an exclusive afterparty at Musical Club Občanská plovárna, thrown by Anglo-American University.

Here´s a taste of what´s to come in addition to exhibitors´ booths and the program:

Mother and baby corner (for up to 18 months old) and a playground for older children, both featuring special programs; arts and craft activities and entertainment for children, including magicians, jugglers, animal balloon show, Professor Bubble Show and “Fun to cook”; pictures taken free of charge in the Photo Studio Corner; Halloween costume competition; onstage performances by students from Prague international schools; international food, handicrafts sale and a raffle prize drawing at 5:30 p.m.

The Halloween party will start at 9 p.m. sharp and will introduce DJs with a bartender show and professional dancers, an adult costume competition and a raffle. Music lovers will appreciate the jazz and live guitar music in the chill-out lounge, which will accommodate those who want to socialize and relax. There will be plenty to keep everyone going late into the night.

Prague Solutions s.r.o. is a company whose goal and credo is to ease the lives of foreigners, individuals and companies, moving to or living and functioning in the Czech Republic. Its management have ample experience in tourist care, real estate and relocation services and particularly red-tape untangling gained during many years of expat life in Prague. Services provided through ReloCare and ExpatCare (more on www.relocare.cz and www.expatcare.cz) are just that: not just consulting, but doing everything for clients.

ReloCare provides a full range of services for expats moving to Prague and elsewhere in the Czech Republic. Services connected with pre-arrival, arrival, settling in and departure save time, reduce stress and guarantee a truly professional execution.

ExpatCare is a multi-purpose phone support 24/7 hot line (only emergencies at night) that helps resolve virtually any problem its members may encounter during their stay in Prague, from assisting with general tourist information to making appointments with dentists, plumbers or other service providers.
