Guns N'Roses, Iron Maiden officially postpone 2020 Prague concerts

US rockers Guns N’Roses and English heavy metal band Iron Maiden have both postponed their planned 2020 concerts in Prague this summer, Czech promoter Live Nation has announced on their website.

The two concerts were among the biggest music events planned for Prague this summers, but have become the latest casualties of travel and event restrictions, along with general uncertainty regarding the development of the coronavirus in both the Czech Republic and abroad.

Iron Maiden, set to play Prague’s Sinobo Stadium on July 7 as part of their Legacy of the Beast tour, will instead head to the Czech capital on June 15, 2021.

A makeup date for the Guns N’Roses concert has yet to be announced, but is also expected to take place in summer 2021 according to Live Nation.

“Things are changing daily and we want to keep our fans, crew members and band safe,” the band stated on social media.

“We are working hard with our promoters, venues and cities/countries on next steps and will make further announcements as soon as we can.”

Tickets already purchased for both concerts will be valid for the future dates.

Live Nation, one of the Czech Republic’s biggest concert promoters, had previously cancelled concerts in Prague by Avril Lavigne, Sting, and My Chemical Romance.

Prague concerts later this year still tentatively on the schedule include performances by Aerosmith, Kiss, Lenny Kravitz and One Republic.
