Of the respondents who answered the question, “Do you still wear a mask, even if you’re not required to?” 60% said they still wear a mask even when not required.

Readers Jari Makkonen said, “In some cases, yes. E.g. yesterday visiting a castle and being packed with 30 people in small spaces. I was the only one, but I do not mind about what someone might think about me being careful.”

Reader Sherry Vacik agreed, “Yes — always in the shops, on public transport, etc.”

Some readers said that even in certain situations in the workplace masks are making a comeback.

User Jill Batdorf Alexiou commented: “I trained my colleagues at work today for my maternity leave tasks (I’ve been working from home this entire time) and asked them all to wear masks. They were happy to comply. I agree!”

According to user Ian Donegan, not everyone is so diligent as his fellow commenters.

“I’m on a full late-night tram home from Letna to Nam Miru, I’m the only person on [the] 91 tram with a mask, I feel a bit sad that we have come so far to hold off this virus and now we give up. Two city policemen get on the tram and both with no masks, come on CZ government please help people see this sh*t is still with us.”

Ivi Iwanna Zekov also wonders where all these people that clicked “yes” are. “When I am out in malls or supermarket I am the only one wearing a mask and if not maybe 1-2 people max.”

Meanwhile, others said no to masks altogether like user Nadíya Kartmanová: “Always for no. Bring it on! I’m ready to contribute to herd immunity.”
