The United Kingdom eased entry requirements for travelers coming into the country on February 11, and some airlines have wasted no time in re-launching flights from European destinations to the UK.

As of this weekend, low-cost carrier Jet2 has launched routes from Prague to Birmingham, Leeds, and Newcastle. The additional destinations join Manchester among Jet2's routes from Prague to locations in the UK.

Each of Jet2's flights from Prague to Birmingham, Leeds, and Newcastle (as well as Manchester) run twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. Return flights from the UK to Prague also fly on Mondays and Fridays.

Flights from Prague to each of the UK destinations on Jet2 run as low as £27 (about 750 crowns) one-way, or £54 (1500 crowns) round-trip. Tickets can be purchased online from Jet2's booking platform.

In addition to the four destinations in England, Jet2 will also launch a route from Prague to Glasgow in March. The Glasgow flight will run on Thursdays and Sundays, with tickets starting at the same price point.

Flights from Prague to additional destinations in the United Kingdom, including London, Bristol, and Edinburgh, are currently offered from other carriers such as EasyJet, Ryanair, Eurowings, and British Airways.

Vaccinated travelers from Prague (and elsewhere) can now visit the United Kingdom without the need to present a negative Covid test. Travelers without proof of vaccination or recovery still need to submit a negative Covid test, but no longer need to quarantine upon arrival.

All passengers going to the UK are still required to fill out a passenger locator form.

While vaccinated Czech residents are free to travel to the UK, however, the same is not true for those going in the opposite direction.

Czech citizens and holders of a residence permit with proof of vaccination or recovery can return to the Czech Republic without needing to provide a test. Vaccinated foreigners without a Czech residence permit must still provide a test, however, with the exception of those who have had a booster dose, those aged 12-18 with initial vaccination, and all travelers under 12.

Travel throughout Europe is expected to open up without restrictions in the coming weeks and months. The United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Greece, and Portugal have already dropped testing requirements for vaccinated passengers, and other countries are expected to quickly follow suit.
