In 2020, the city will see dozens of significant concerts, and even the “best of” list is massive. Fans of old-school rock can look forward to KISS and Ozzy Osbourne, both back on the final legs of their farewell tours. But it really looks like these are the final final concerts for them.

Other veteran rockers include Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith. More hard can be found with Five Finger Death Punch, Korn, System of a Down, and Helloween.

Ace guitarists Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton, and Joe Satriani are all scheduled to return. Clapton was last in Prague in 2013 for his 50th anniversary tour.

Progressive rock band Yes will play their entire classic 1974 album Relayer, and Jethro Tull will highlight their prog years. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason will also return with his Saucerful of Secrets band to play Pink Floyd’s trippy early work. A Pink Floyd tribute band form the UK has a show at the Congress Center.

The big summer festival Metronome Prague is announcing its lineup and so far the biggest name is Beck.

Nick
Cave and
the Bad Seeds will
play
O2 Arena, and German band Einstürzende Neubauten will present new
material at Forum Karlín. Einstürzende Neubauten frontman
Blixa Bargeld was once in the Bad Seeds, but now prefers to do his
own thing.

One
Direction member Harry Styles will likely bring in the teen crowd for
his Love on Tour show, while former teens have a chance to see the
Kelly Family.

Pet
Shop Boys are sure to please ’80s synth pop fans, and so far are
the biggest group of that era to be announced.

The list skews predominantly male, but there are several notable women. Aside from Avril Lavigne, who is back on the road after a long illness, there’s Celine Dion, Beth Hart, Bonnie Tyler, Suzi Quatro, Sofi Tukker and Chelsea Wolfe. An Amy Winehouse tribute show called Forever Amy features musicians who played with Winehouse.

Oddities on the list include actor Kiefer Sutherland with his country band, and The Vampire Diaries actor Michael Malarkey performing his pop songs. Star Trek original series star William Shatner, who sometimes performs spoken word renditions of songs, is coming to introduce Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and lead a Q&A but is not expected to sing.
