Currently operating on a “soft-opening” summertime schedule, a new Vršovice venue is sure to become a favorite haunt for lovers of Czech beer and games like Cards Against Humanity, Cave of Evil, and Celestia.

Bohemia Boards and Brews Board Game Café has taken over the Charkovská space formerly inhabited by family-friendly cafe, Králík v rádiu (which has since relocated to Karlín).

A grand opening is planned for mid-September until then the BB&B team, the same group behind an ongoing series of pop-up board game nights at Czech Inn, will hone their menu and concept.

According to their website: “We’ll be open on a limited basis for the first month or so while we finish up the decorations, play with the menu, and familiarise ourselves with the systems.”

A cover charge of 60 CZK gives visitors access to the pub’s board game library of 500+ games for the entire day.

Early reviews are praising the friendly staff, beer from Zemský pivovar, and the popcorn machine.

Opening hours: Tuesday through Friday 18:00-22:00.
