5 school open days to visit this month in Prague

For parents, open days (in Czech Den otevřených dveří) can be an important first step in educating your child in the Czech Republic. They take place at private, and state schools as well as universities and higher-education institutions throughout Prague and the Czech Republic. A number of open days are scheduled during the first part of the year.

These are just a few of the upcoming open days taking place in Prague, however a list of citywide events (in Czech) can be seen here. Don’t worry — if you miss the opening day, many schools will host additional open-day events in 2020 or allow you to make an appointment anytime throughout the year.

Amazon English-Czech Grammar School

A new educational program for English-speaking children in Prague, Two Hour School, is hosting its first ever Open Day this year. Located on Londýnská 34, the school’s program is designed for children from international families who attend Czech schools. International primary school teachers provide lessons. The Open Day is an informal event during which families have an opportunity to meet the founders and teachers. A kid’s corner with entertainment and refreshments will be on offer while all children who attend will be invited to a free demo class.
