Photo contest for Brno expats: send us your pictures

Now we are opening a contest for the best photographs displaying the city of Brno seen through the eyes of our expats.

There is no strict limit in terms of genres. Take pictures of architecture, nature, people, events or anything else, make it arranged or documentary, just think of the relevance to Brno (each picture needs to be described by a short text specifying the place) and be creative. The photos will be judged by the jury consisting of three professional photographers: Rostislav Košťál, Roman Franc and Monika Tomášková.

Every foreigner who (used to) live, work or study in Brno can send up to five photos (colorful or black & white) in JPG format to photo@brnopolis.eu by November 15, 2009. The minimal size is 15×10 or 16×12 cm with 300dpi resolution (the larger the better). The best photos will be presented here on the blog and in the venue of the large expats meeting (to be held in early December). The winner will be awarded by a special prize symbolizing fruitfulness, flavour and soil of the region.

Let me ask all the readers to spread a word about this contest in order we will not miss any interesting and original pictures from your friends or colleagues who like Brno and photographing and have their eyes opened.
