As always, New Year’s Eve in Old Town Square — for the brave of heart — kicks off at 5pm with live music and djs and fanfare around midnight.
Prefer to hit the clubs instead or sit down to a decadent dinner or quiet concert…or all of the above? Check out our NYE tips for Prague below.

The official Prague fireworks take place on January 1, 2019, at 6pm.
Launched from Letná Park, they are best viewed from Dvořákovo nábřeží, Pařížská Street, Čechův most, Mánesův most, Štefánikův most and — new this year — Lucerna Rooftop (see below for how to reserve your place). This year’s theme is 30 Years Since the Velvet Revolution; the whole fireworks spectacular will last for close to 11 minutes and will include musical accompaniment.
