We’ve all been there — hungry, indecisive and too busy for home cooking. But that doesn’t mean you have to settle for mediocre meals. Prague’s leading food delivery service on the local market has a new curated feature that makes it possible to try some of the capital’s trendiest restaurants without leaving home or the office.

Officially launched in August, foodora Selection, provides customers with a customized pared-down offering of top restaurant choices they’ll be sure to love at first bite.

“With foodora, you’ve got over 2,000 restaurants in Prague at your fingertips, but we get that such a wide range can feel overwhelming. That’s why we created foodora Selection, showcasing only the best restaurants, carefully chosen based on strict criteria,” says Eliška Böhmová, foodora’s marketing campaign manager.

From pho to fries or all-day breakfast sandwiches

Top choices on foodora Selection include hidden neighborhood gems across the city, from Gao Den, an authentic Vietnamese bistro in the suburbs of Prague 13, to Third Coast Pizza, Prague’s first Detroit-style pizza near the Žižkov TV Tower.

Golden Egg, another Žižkov hotspot, is beloved for its all-day breakfast sandwiches, while Brambory in Nusle specializes in scrumptious potato-based dishes.

“Our foodie customers love the quick access to top spots while also discovering exciting new places to enjoy, says Böhmová.”

Hidden gems like sachi poke & sushi (recently renamed from Kaishi Prague), CARLITOS – Polleria al Carbon, a Peruvian-Japanese sensation in Vinohrady, and La Paisanita, the place to get handmade Argentinian empanadas in Žižkov and Dejvice await.

NAPOKĒ, meanwhile, offers huge, freshly made poke bowls at its Žižkov and newly opened Máj locations. If you’re craving Indian food, check out the offerings from Sangam, an elegant spot in Karlín that offers traditional Indian food with a modern twist. Lasagneria, with branches in Vinohrady and Holešovice, always impresses with new and innovative lasagne combinations.

We asked foodora to share some fan favorites alongside up-and-coming spots that are perfect for your next meal delivery.

Chop Chop Chili

The first and only place where you can get super tasty hand-pulled Biang Biang noodles in Prague. These long, belt-like noodles – from China’s Shaanxi province – have taken many Western cities by storm and were greeted with much fanfare when they finally made their Czech debut. Drenched in chili oil and packed with heat, these noodle bowls – the Dejvice restaurant’s signature dish that can be ordered with beef, chicken, or tofu – are the perfect pick-me-up when craving something seriously satisfying.

Le Pizze di Frankie

Francesco Gallucci’s Nusle bistro may be no more than a one-room nook opposite Náměstí Bratří Synků. Still, over the last five years, the locale has become widely acknowledged as the place to get some of the most authentic Italian pizza in Prague. While his Neapolitan gets the most raves, Gallucci – known simply as “Frankie” to his loyal customer base – famously likes experimenting with his toppings, so you are almost always guaranteed to find something new here. Gallucci has since expanded his pizza empire to Smíchov as a testament to his success.

Burgerman

Burgerman – a Letná institution – lets your imagination run wild, from classic to spicy to everything in between. In other words, if you can dream it, chances are, it’ll be on the menu, including bacon, French, onion, and meatless options. Using only the finest ingredients and buns made fresh each day from the bakery around the corner, Burgerman has a secret, fine-tuned recipe that puts it in the running for the best burger in Prague. Don’t forget to order a side of fries with your patty. In a nod to sustainability, your burger will arrive not in a damp plastic box but beautifully warm, wrapped in paper.

Vinohradský Parlament

If you are after some great Czech food, look nowhere further than this legendary restaurant off Náměstí Míru, with a track record for dedication to excellence. The kitchen specializes in local specialties, like beef goulash, pork knee and fried cod. As a bonus, a wide variety of popular Czech-style dumpling dishes – filled with sweet and savory delights, like mushrooms, plums, roasted duck and cottage cheese with blueberries – are sure to make you a loyal devotee of these extraordinary balls of yum. In fact, Parlament’s dumplings are so renowned, they are literally in a category of their own.
